Video: New season, new era

The excitement and anticipation of a new season never wanes and with the Barclays Premier League fixtures for 2014/15 released today, we’re counting down to the new campaign with plenty of hope and expectation.

Louis van Gaal has boldly stated that he wants “to make history” as the new manager of Manchester United, while his assistant, Reds legend Ryan Giggs, urged fans “to keep supporting us and the good times will be back soon”.

With the big kick-off for 2014/15 less than two months away – against Swansea City at Old Trafford – both men will soon be aiming to make good on their promises.

Facing three promoted teams in the opening five games – compared with Chelsea, Liverpool and City last term – has bolstered some supporters' views that United will bounce back from a disappointing 2013/14 campaign at the first time of asking, but van Gaal and Giggs will be taking nothing for granted. Still, the fightback starts here. Watch our video to get you in the mood for the new season.
