Today (Monday 26 May) marks the 15th anniversary of Manchester United's 2-1 victory over Bayern Munich in the 1999 Champions League final.

It was a date that went down in club folklore as Sir Alex Ferguson's men secured an astonishing Treble having already triumphed in the league and the FA Cup.

The final itself summed up the campaign, sending United fans from despair to ecstasy as two injury-time goals from Teddy Sheringham and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer snatched victory from the jaws of defeat to send the management, players and fans into a frenzy.

United, to quote TV commentator Clive Tyldesley, had "reached the promised land" and you can revisit that momentous night by watching the highlights in our video player above.
