Sir Alex will be at Stamford Bridge tonight, running his eye over United’s Champions League final opponents.
Chelsea and Liverpool’s semi-final second leg is poised at 1-1 after John Arne Riise’s last-minute own goal gifted the Blues an equaliser at Anfield last Tuesday.
With home advantage and a vital away goal, Chelsea are regarded as slight favourites to join United in Moscow on 21 May.
"I’m going to the game,” Sir Alex confirmed after the Reds beat Barcelona 1-0 at Old Trafford on Tuesday night. “It will be fascinating – it’s on a knife’s edge and I can’t call it. They’re two very competitive teams.
“We were down there at Chelsea on Saturday and we know how difficult it can be there. I’ll go and enjoy the game and there may be some things I’ll learn from it."
