Sir Alex Ferguson has warned his side not to take Saturday's game lightly, despite opponents Portsmouth being rooted to the foot of the league table.

"They've got some very good players," said the boss in his weekly Carrington press conference. "I've looked at some of the videos, I think they may be in a false position."

The departure of Paul Hart from the Pompey hotseat means Sir Alex will be locking horns with Avram Grant again on Saturday; the two went head to head three times in 2007/08 with the Reds winning two out of the three matches including that unforgettable final in Moscow. The United boss is backing his opposite number to cope with a difficult job.

"He's a football man and he'll be glad to get back in... He's got a task, because when you're team is bottom of the league you've got a task but hopefully he can manage it."
