Annoyed by being repeatedly misquoted by some of the national newspapers, the Reds boss cancelled his weekly press conferences after the game against Manchester City on 10 November.
And at his first full press briefing since then, he warned any reporter who continued to quote him inaccurately would be banned indefinitely.
"I want to address the people from the dailies," he began.
"I banned some of you for a few weeks because I was fed up. Your job as journalists is to tell the truth – if you can’t do that then you’re in the wrong job.
"You can quote me on things I have said, but I’m not going to have you twisting everything I say, and lying.
"The next time it happens, it’s finished – you won’t be allowed back in. I want to make that clear."
