Ex-Reds striker Andrew Cole previews the Arsenal clash, exclusively for ManUtd.com...
Arsenal away will be a very tough game. We beat them early in the season and a lot of people were writing them off, but slowly and surely they’ve gone about their business and now they’re right up there with us and Chelsea.
United are going to have to watch Cesc Fabregas. He makes Arsenal tick. He has great passing ability and now he’s getting in the box a lot more and scoring more goals – the boy can finish. To be playing at that level at his age is frightening – he's not even 24 yet.
Arsene Wenger has been making noises about needing to buy a centre-forward. But to look at the Gunners' resources and see what he does with that team, you have to take your hat off to him. He doesn’t spend 50 or 60 million on players; he works with what he’s got and every year they produce quality football that’s pleasing on the eye.
Arsenal have always stepped up when we’ve gone to their place. I know we beat them convincingly at the Emirates in the Champions League last season, but they seem to have a bit of a hoodoo over us in league games there. It’s a hard one to call because you know Arsenal will attack. They need to win the game – and so do we.
It’s too early to knock anybody out of their stride as we’re only in the warm-up for the second half of the season. But the title race as it stands is fantastic for the neutrals, because people are wondering who’s going to win it.
