Goalkeeper Sam Johnstone, defender Tom Thorpe and striker William Keane have all featured for England at the tournament, although only Keane played in Thursday’s 2-1 win over France in the semi-final. Sadly, his involvement was cut short by injury after just 16 minutes of action.
Reds team-mate Paul Pogba was influential for the opposition, though, and scored France’s only goal of the game (and his second of the tournament). But it wasn’t enough to prevent a Les Bleus loss and they will now meet Turkey in the third-place playoff.
England, who have never won the U-17 Championship, must overcome a Spain side featuring young Valencia striker Francisco Alcaser (better known as Paco). He's netted twice as many goals (six) as any other player during the tournament and will be keen to add to his tally in Sunday's final.
