Keane gets first call-up

Michael Keane is one of four United youngsters in the England Under-19 squad for the upcoming Elite Round qualifiers.

The classy centre-back, in outstanding form for the Reserves all season, has earned his first call-up for the Three Lions after previously representing Republic of Ireland at youth level. Clearance has been received to enable the 19-year-old to play for the country of his birth after he exclusively revealed his desire to switch allegiance to the March issue of Inside United.

Twin brother and second-string top scorer Will is also included, after gaining experience at the higher age group with the Under-21s, with keeper Sam Johnstone and midfielder Larnell Cole completing the Reds' quartet.

England face Slovenia, Montenegro and Switzerland in the qualifiers at the end of May in a bid to qualify for the finals in Estonia in July.
