Joshua King is starting to make his mark at Blackburn Rovers after coming on as a 55th minute substitute in the local derby with Burnley on Sunday.
The Norwegian "provided the spark that was required" according to Rovers' official website with his pace unsettling the Clarets' defence and carving out one clear chance for Colin Kazim-Richards in the 1-1 draw.
Ben Amos was not involved but Robbie Brady played most of Hull City's 2-1 triumph at Nottingham Forest and was particularly impressive in the first half. Tigers chief Steve Bruce told the Hull Daily Mail about the wide man: "There's never been a question mark about his ability, it's just like any young player where they need to develop and learn.
"You only get that by playing week in and week out. You only have to look at James Chester as the prime example of that, he's flourishing with regular football. That'll be the next step for Robbie, I'm sure."
John Cofie came off the bench to help Sheffield United to a 2-1 FA Cup win against Port Vale with Shaun Miller netting twice in stoppage time.
