Coach Warren Joyce was certainly pleased with the performance of his top scorer, who took his goal superbly when Lingard's initial effort was parried by Cody Cropper.

 "I thought Kiko was excellent from start to finish," he told MUTV. "He's a lot fitter than he was six or seven weeks ago as he's lost a lot of weight and his body fat is down.

"He certainly worked hard tonight, handled the football well and looked a threat all night. He was good value for the goal."
