Manchester United have been drawn away to West Ham United in the FA Cup third round.
The tie will be played on Saturday 5 January 2013 at 17:15 GMT and will be shown live on ITV1 in the UK.
The Reds were represented by ball number 25 in the draw, which was conducted by former Tottenham Hotspur captain Ledley King and former Bolton Wanderers midfielder Fabrice Muamba at Wembley Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
There have been seven FA Cup ties between the two Uniteds to date, resulting in three wins to the Reds and four defeats including one after a replay. The most recent FA Cup meeting was in the fourth round in 2002/03, when Sir Alex's men mauled the East London side 6-0 at Old Trafford. However, two years previously, West Ham pulled off a shock 1-0 win in the same round at the same venue, courtesy of a goal from Paolo Di Canio.
The Reds, who last won the trophy in 2004, won away at Manchester City in last year's third round, but bowed out in round four after a 2-1 defeat to Liverpool at Anfield.
