Sir Alex has confirmed that Tomasz Kuszczak will leave when his contract expires at the end of the season, while admitting Ben Amos was deserving of his opportunity against Stoke City.
Amos has moved above Kuszczak in the pecking order and played in the Carling Cup ties before making his Barclays Premier League debut in midweek, with the Pole on the bench, as David De Gea and Anders Lindegaard were both sidelined.
"We also have Tomasz Kuszczak but his contract is up in the summer and he doesn't want to sign another," said Sir Alex. "He wants to go and get regular football, but he's been out of the picture for the last two months really so it makes it difficult for him to come back into the fold. He's a very good goalkeeper.
"Ben did very well the other night. He's had his opportunities in the League Cup and played against Valencia the previous season. He's had a little bit of experience but not the kind of experience you'd expect going into a game like the one at Stamford Bridge. But that's something we'll make a decision on later."
