United will meet Liverpool at Anfield in the FA Cup fourth round, on Saturday 28 January. The match, kicking off at 12:45 GMT, will be broadcast live in the UK on ITV1.
The Reds' 3-2 victory over Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium, thanks to a brace from Wayne Rooney and a fine volleyed finish from Danny Welbeck, booked United's place in the fourth round. Liverpool got there by beating Oldham Athletic 5-1 at home.
The North-West rivals have met 16 times in the FA Cup in previous seasons, most recently in last year's 1-0 win for Sir Alex's men at Old Trafford. United have won nine of those meetings and lost three. There have been four draws.
