Boss confirms Pogba exit

Sir Alex Ferguson is disappointed by Paul Pogba's departure to Juventus - but says he expects another out-of-contract player  Ezekiel Fryers to report for pre-season training with United.

Both youngsters - regular members of the successful United Reserves side in 2011/12 - made their first-team debuts last season. Pogba apparently agreed to leave Old Trafford for Italy a while ago, to the clear chagrin of Sir Alex. Meanwhile, the boss admits to not yet knowing Fryers' decision on his future.

"Pogba signed for Juventus a long time ago as far as we’re aware," Sir Alex told MUTV.

"It's disappointing. I don’t think he showed us any respect at all. To be honest, if they carry on that way, they’re probably better doing it away from us.

"We haven’t heard anything from Zeki Fryers. I don’t know what’s happening there but he’s not been in touch with the club. His agent hasn’t been in touch with the club and I can only assume he’ll be back for training today."
