A squad blending youth and experience flies to South Africa for the start of Manchester United's DHL pre-season tour on Monday morning.
The 22-man squad will head to Durban first before further stops in Cape Town and the Chinese city of Shanghai. Experienced players in the shape of tour captain Rio Ferdinand, Michael Carrick and Paul Scholes are all in the travelling squad alongside a host of youngsters including Davide Petrucci, Jesse Lingard and Ryan Tunnicliffe. Portuguese attacker Bebe is also included after returning from a loan spell with Besiktas.
Sir Alex Ferguson's men will take on AmaZulu FC in Durban on Wednesday night, before a friendly with Ajax Cape Town on Saturday. The Reds' final stop on the first part of the pre-season tour - the second will include visits to Norway, Sweden and Germany next month - will be in Shanghai to face Shanghai Shenhua on Wednesday week.
