"We have a lot of really good players in the strikers' department. We can play with three, sometimes it will be one, that's the gaffer's decision. We all have to be ready when the manager picks us."
Chicharito is mindful that Newcastle also have a cutting edge to admire. Demba Ba has six league goals already this season and Papiss Cisse followed up his duck-breaker at Old Trafford in the Capital One Cup with a Europa League goal against Bordeaux last night (Thursday).
"Yes, Cisse and Ba," he concurred, when reminded of the Magpies' attacking capabilities.
"It's not going to be easy for us because we know they did really well last season and at their home, their performance [against us] was very, very good. But as I said, we've worked hard and prepared well for this week's games, first of all Romania and now Newcastle. We're looking forward to Sunday."
Although Anderson and Tom Cleverley scored fine strikes in the cup victory over Newcastle ten days ago, Chicharito was the last Red to notch a league goal against them, in last November's 1-1 draw at Old Trafford. The modus operandi was unusual - it certainly wouldn't feature in a top ten montage for the Mexican.
"Yeah I know - but they all count the same!" he laughed, remembering how Steven Taylor's attempted clearance bounced off him and into the net.
"The important thing is the goals are coming again for the team this season, and hopefully the three points will come on Sunday as well."
