Ben Amos kept a clean sheet in Hull City's 1-0 win at Sheffield Wednesday.
The impressive England Under-21 international helped Steve Bruce's Tigers pick up a valuable victory on the road to take them back up to 10th in the Championship table. It was the keeper's long punt forward that led to Aaron Mclean netting the 77th-minute winner.
John Cofie was not involved in Sheffield United's triumph at Leyton Orient by the same scoreline and Mark Robins' Coventry also won by a single goal - against Bournemouth - but Reece Brown was an unused substitute.
Blades manager Danny Wilson explained Cofie did not make the trip to London because of a groin injury. "John couldn’t be involved and so there was no point in asking him to come down when he could be staying at home and receiving treatment," Wilson informed the Sheffield Star. "Fingers crossed, the rest will help and then we’ll see how he is."
Over in Belgium, Luke Giverin played the full 90 minutes and Gyliano van Velzen was replaced with 12 minutes remaining in a goalless draw away to Boussu Dour Borinage.
