Ashley Young is convinced Robin van Persie will have a big say on this season’s Barclays Premier League title race... and can’t wait to link again with the Dutch striker.
Young missed United’s 3-2 win at Southampton due to a knee injury sustained the previous weekend against Fulham, so had to settle for watching van Persie’s sensational hat-trick on TV.
The England winger will no doubt have been impressed, although he also expects the former Arsenal captain to bring more than goals to the table this term.
“He's a world-class striker who can not only score goals, but lay on assists,” Young told the club’s official magazine, Inside United.
