Sir Alex Ferguson is expecting another tight contest at Anfield on Sunday and hopes his players can come up with the goods to ensure a positive result for the Reds.
United have not beaten Liverpool on their own patch since December 2007 when a Carlos Tevez goal secured three points.
Chicharito netted a late equaliser for Sir Alex's men in the league clash on Merseyside last season to secure a 1-1 draw and the boss is predicting another close match this time round.
"In tight games like this you know there are not going to be a lot of goals. It will be an odd-goal victory for either side or maybe a draw," said Sir Alex.
"Our away form last year was terrific, one of the best years we have had away from home. We hope that continues.
"We want to make sure we do our best and represent ourselves in the proper way. That is the key for us on Sunday, just to enjoy it. Once the whistle goes, go and win the game. That should be our attitude."
