Loans: Zaha kept at bay

Wilfried Zaha was involved in a bizarre situation as Crystal Palace drew 0-0 with Barnsley in the Championship.

The Tykes ended up wearing Palace's away kit after the intervention of the referee to prevent a clash. David Flitcroft explained afterwards to The Sheffield Star: "There was a bit of a stand-off with the kit before the game because I didn't want my team not to have the Barnsley badge. But then you realise the sense is to listen to the referee. We decided to go with Crystal Palace’s kit in the end. We have done everything they could before the game to make sure the situation was right and professional."

As for the game, Zaha was lively but the Eagles were unable to break down a side battling hard to beat the drop.

Also in the division, Michael Keane's Leicester drew 1-1 at fellow play-off hopefuls Brighton. The centre-back went close with a volley over the bar and a header wide. Injured pair Davide Petrucci, Scott Wootton and also Ipswich's Reece Brown were not involved in their teams' matches.
