Patrice Evra believes no other team has the character and spirit that Manchester United possess.
The Reds are within six points of collecting a 20th Championship crown having led the way at the top of the league for the last few months.
While results in the Champions League and the Cups have ultimately ended in disappointment, the Reds have unquestionably set the standard in the league.
Next up on Monday night is Aston Villa, who United beat 3-2 earlier in the season after coming from two goals down. Never giving up has always been an intrinsic quality of any Sir Alex Ferguson team, yet Evra feels the Reds aren’t always given the deserved credit for the team's powers of recovery.
“The funny thing is because it is Manchester United people don't give us a lot of credit. They just say 'oh, okay, they escaped, they came back,’” the Frenchman told PA Sport and talkSPORT.
“If it is another team they say what great character they have, what a great team they are. Because it is Manchester United they just say we have escaped. We did not escape. This is character. This is personality. That is why we are here. That is why I hope we are going to win the title.
"You have to accept the criticism but I don't see anyone with more character than this team.”
