Ando eyes Anfield chance

Anderson says Anfield is the type of ground that can bring out the best in players and he hopes it will inspire United on Sunday.

The Brazilian midfielder has himself produced some excellent displays against the Merseysiders on their home patch and he is desperate to be involved in the latest clash between the two sides.

"I always enjoy playing at Anfield. It’s a ground I have done well at. It’s a stadium where the fans are very close to you and that inspires you and gives you lots of energy. It’s a great atmosphere to be involved in," he told

"Liverpool have a good team with good players, [Philippe] Coutinho has started well for them. We know we always need to play well against them."

Brendan Rodgers' side have started the season in fine fettle with three wins out of three in the league and Capital One Cup. While Manchester City and Chelsea look most likely to be United's biggest challengers for the title, the rivalry between the Reds and Liverpool remains as strong as ever. Anderson says it will always be a big game for United, but he insists every match as a Red carries expectation and pressure.

"I know people talk about the big games, but honestly every single game at Manchester United is a big one. You have to work so hard because everyone wants to win against you," he maintains.

"Of course though, Liverpool is always an important match. There is a lot of history between both clubs. We are all looking forward to the game."
