Ando ready to take his chance

shared seven goals in 26 minutes of a frantic first half, a game in which Anderson scored.

“It was a crazy match!” he recalls. “I remember it was 4-3 by half-time! It was a hard game – it always is when you play away from home. But tonight we’re at home and we have to be confident at Old Trafford.”

Anderson believes the steady flow of matches is far from a hindrance to United’s three-pronged trophy assault, saying: “I think it’s really important to have two or three big games a week because it allows the boss to give every player a chance.

"It can be hard for a player if you don’t play for, say, two weeks because when you do get your chance you have to be ready to put in your best performance. If you haven’t played it can be difficult to do that.

“It’s good for all the players to be involved in big games and tonight’s match is another important one. We know we have a good opportunity to win the Cup this season and we will all do our best to try and do that.”
