Davide Petrucci admits he is hoping to catch Sir Alex Ferguson’s eye during his loan stint with Peterborough.
The United boss is a frequent visitor to London Road and, of course, is in regular contact with his son Darren, the Posh manager. Although the Championship club are in a real battle against relegation, the 21-year-old is keen to add his qualities to the mix, particularly after being an unused substitute last time out, and has been made to feel welcome at his new club.
"I like it here," he told MUTV. “It’s a new experience for me and I’m very excited. Hopefully, I can do well here.
"It’s a great thing to have, knowing that he [Sir Alex] speaks to his son every day so you want to do as well as you can every day so he can hopefully tell him something good and I can go back there and play.
"I think 80 per cent of players do this step. Unless you’re Wayne Rooney or a player like that, you have to start in the Championship and get experience. I want to do well and hopefully go back to United and play one day for the first team."
Adapting to his new surroundings has been made easier by the presence of United colleague Scott
