Loans: Trio on target

Three of United's loan stars hit the back of the net during a productive weekend for the club's youngsters.

Davide Petrucci attracted plenty of attention for a wonderful strike in Peterborough's 2-1 success against Michael Keane's Leicester City. The Italian's first-ever senior goal levelled the scores and was the catalyst for a vital victory, obtained without the injured Scott Wootton.

The 21-year-old impressed throughout and told the Peterborough Evening Telegraph: "I have started slowly here. My first two matches were no so good, but the Championship was different to anything I had experienced before and it was a case of getting up to pace.

"But I have worked hard on my game and my fitness and today I felt more at home. I enjoyed the game. And the goal? Well that was one of the best feelings I have ever experienced in my life."

John Cofie marked his Notts County debut with a goal following his youth loan switch last week. The striker's equaliser earned a point against Crewe. "It was unbelievable, to be fair, and if I had a bit more energy I would've celebrated a bit more," he told the Magpies' official site. "I was a little bit tired, but I really enjoyed it."
