Rooney netted both United’s goals on Wednesday night to take his tally for the season to 12. But he insists personal glory means nothing to him.
“It’s nice to score and it helped the team pick up points,” he said. “That’s the most important thing, that the team picks up points. I have always said I am not really too concerned with how many goals I score as long as we keep winning. But it is nice to score and hopefully that will continue.”
