In Portugal, Bebe also debuted for temporary side Rio Ave as they lost 1-0 at home to Olhanense in the Primeira Liga. The Reds forward replaced English teammate Temitope Obadeyi on 60 minutes and before the match, revealed a desire to impress during his temporary stay.
“I'll give it everything while I'm here and try to help the team to continue occupying the places that they have been in the table,” Bebe told Portuguese media earlier this week.
“Obviously something went wrong in the last phase of my career - I had a serious injury which thankfully I have fully recovered well from. I'm fine physically and I was always training and playing. It's good to come here and I want to show what I can do.”
Elsewhere, Michael Keane celebrated his recently extended loan deal with Leicester by helping the Foxes record a comfortable 2-0 win over Burton Albion at the King Power stadium, playing a full 90 minutes during which the defender saw a header cleared off the line.
