The Reds took the lead after just three minutes via the penalty spot before adding three more goals in the second half.
Ryan Giggs gave United that early lead and then proceeded to pull the strings in midfield, just as he did against West Ham in the third round. The veteran drifted infield from his wide position, picking his passes superbly and dictating the tempo of the Reds' play.
In the centre of the park, Anderson was at his driving best, surging forward at every opportunity and causing panic in the Fulham defence. He worked tirelessly, launched a number of Reds counter-attacks and set up Wayne Rooney's first goal.
And although United netted four times against Fulham, our last two Man of the Match candidates are defenders. Chris Smalling and Phil Jones were superb at the back, limiting Dimitar Berbatov and Bryan Ruiz to just a handful of half chances. Jones was dominant in the air and made a number of clever interceptions, while Smalling's composure on the ball was particularly pleasing on the eye.
