Manchester United were forced to settle for a point against Tottenham on Sunday after a last-gasp equaliser from the home side at White Hart Lane.
Sir Alex praised the hard work put in by all his players in an interview with MUTV after the game and we have put together a four-man short-list for our Man of the Match award.
Former Spurs midfielder Michael Carrick produced another eye-catching display in the centre of the park with some excellent pin-point passing. Alongside him, Phil Jones was in combative mood and provided great protection in front of the back four thanks to a host of superb interceptions and last-ditch tackles.
The same could be said of Rio Ferdinand who was exceptional at the heart of the back four with the highlight of his display a potentially goal-saving block from Jermain Defoe after the break.
In attack, Danny Welbeck once again proved an eager runner and caused problems down the left for Spurs, particularly in the second half. And he played an important role in United's goal with a lovely pass out to Tom Cleverley who crossed for Robin van Persie to score.
Who will you vote for in our Man of the Match poll?
