Jones handed U-21 call

Phil Jones has been handed a surprise England Under-21 call-up ahead of the friendly with Sweden in Walsall next Tuesday.

The United defender, who has been capped at senior level, is joined in the squad by fellow Reds Ben Amos and Wilfried Zaha, who is arriving from Crystal Palace in the summer.

Versatile performer Jones has been in excellent form of late and moved into midfield during the win against Southampton after starting at right-back.
