Van Persie impresses boss


"I want to see us step up from where we were in Thailand," he said. "I thought our fitness was fine in difficult conditions but I want to see the play improve as well.

"We had opportunities to score. We gave away a few chances to the opposition and I want that to improve as well.

"We're heading towards Swansea City and, a week before that, the Community Shield. Tomorrow's game is important but it's not the most important thing in the overall picture."
