Video: Thank you, Rene

Manchester United confirmed on Wednesday 26 June that first-team coach Rene Meulensteen had left the club.

The Dutchman had held the position since August 2008, working closely with Sir Alex Ferguson and Mike Phelan to help bring a wealth of silverware and success to Old Trafford.

He'd previously had spells at United as Reserves manager and skills development coach, training the next generation of Reds superstars (including the likes of Danny Welbeck and Tom Cleverley when they were barely 10 years old).

You can watch MUTV's detailed factfile of Meulensteen's Reds career by clicking on the video player above. Everybody at Manchester United wishes him well for the future.
