spoke of a power shift in English football.
“This one (title) feels just as special if not even more so than the others ones,” he explained. “It has been slightly strange in the way we won it so early and we had a few games to go, but we have certainly made up for that time in the celebrations, making the most of it and enjoying it.
“You have to celebrate it. It has been a terrific season. I keep going back to last season, the finish we had and the drive that gave us to come back and do it this season even more. I am so proud of everyone for achieving it.
“It was inevitable that people were going to talk about last season for some time. We were aware of that coming into this season, but we tried to forget about it and concentrate on our jobs. We were written off as well; people were saying other clubs would take over and it was the end of an era.
“But we believed in ourselves, in each other and we trust each other as players, which comes from Sir Alex. The amount of confidence and trust he has in us is incredible and I think that showed.”
