Another award for Robin

Robin van Persie has added to his bulging trophy cabinet by scooping the Barclays Player of the Month award for April.

The Dutchman picked up the accolade for the same period this week and has followed it up with the league-wide prize after his goals helped clinch the title.

It is the second time that the United No20 has won the trophy this term after also coming out on top in December.

Chelsea’s interim boss Rafael Benitez pipped Sir Alex Ferguson to the monthly manager award, which means the Reds chief has only won it once this season (in October) despite steering the side to a runaway success in the division.
