David Moyes wants his Manchester United team to “put on a good show” when Premier League leaders Arsenal visit the home of the champions on Sunday.
The Gunners have set the early pace in this season’s title race and, as a result, some bookmakers have priced Arsene Wenger’s high-flying side as favourites to win this weekend’s seismic encounter at Old Trafford.
However, whilst addressing the media during his weekly press conference at the Aon Training Complex, Moyes rejected such talk and explained that United are feeling confident of extending an eight-match unbeaten run in all competitions.
“I said at the start that Arsenal have got the same chance as the rest of us to win the league,” the boss told. “It's an open Premier League. They've had a really good start but it will only be decided at end of the season who will win it. We'll wait and see until then."
Expanding on his point, Moyes said: “Arsenal are coming to play the champions. They're in the top position at the moment, their form has been very good and they'll come here in good spirits. But we've had some growing momentum and we want to put on a good show.”
