Manchester United and Wigan Athletic have agreed a loan deal for Will Keane until New Year's Day.
The 20-year-old striker has fought back to fitness after missing the entire 2012/13 season with a cruciate knee ligament injury suffered while playing for England's Under-19s side in May of last year.
Keane, who made his one first-team appearance for United on New Year's Eve in 2011, has scored four times since returning to action for the Reserves and Under-21s this season, and also trained with England's Under-21 squad earlier this month.
He will join fellow United striker Nick Powell, on a season-long loan, in Owen Coyle's squad. Meanwhile, Keane’s twin brother Michael has sealed a temporary switch to Derby County ahead of Thursday's deadline and the siblings could well be in direct opposition at the weekend in the Championship.
