Henriquez strikes again

Manchester United's Chilean forward Angelo Henriquez netted his fifth goal in ten appearances when he opened the scoring in Real Zaragoza's 2-1 defeat at home to Numancia at the weekend.

The striker bagged the opener for the home side on 53 minutes when he unleashed a stinging volley, leaving Numancia keeper Raul well and truly beaten. Unfortunately for Henriquez, his departure from the proceedings on 71 minutes was followed by Zaragoza losing their way and conceding two late goals.

Elsewhere, Nick Powell continued his fine form for Wigan Athletic, featuring in their 1-0 away win against Yeovil Town. The midfielder almost added to his five goals so far this season when he had an early shot cleared off the line.

In League One, two United players came close to facing off in Blackpool's clash with Ipswich Town. Tyler Blackett, as it turned out, was an unused substitute for the Seasiders whilst Ryan Tunnicliffe played 90 minutes for the Tractor Boys in their 3-2 win. Meanwhile, Belgian defender Marnick Vermijl started in NEC Nijmegan's 3-0 defeat to Eredivisie champions Ajax. Despite the 3-0 reverse Marnick gave a good account of himself, working tirelessly down the right flank in both defence and attack.

Jesse Lingard and Bebe also featured in recent fixtures for their respective loan clubs. The former played the full 90 in Birmingham City's 3-1 win away at Huddersfield Town while the latter was substituted on 81 minutes in Pacos de Ferreira's 0-0 draw with Arouca. However, Bebe was not involved in the subsequent 2-0 defeat to Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk in the Europa League.

Another Reds loanee, Davide Petrucci, did not feature in Royal Antwerp's 2-1 win over White Star Bruxelles.
