Reds duo go on loan

Manchester United defender Michael Keane has joined Derby County on loan until 2 January.

The England Under-21 centre-back enjoyed a successful spell last term with the Rams' East Midlands rivals Leicester City and will relish the opportunity to obtain more first-team football in the Championship.

Keane, twin brother of striker Will, was part of the squad that travelled on the first tour of David Moyes' reign in the summer.

Meanwhile, Welsh forward Tom Lawrence has linked up with Carlisle United with the move running until 4 January. It represents the youngster's first switch away from Old Trafford and he will be reunited with keeper Ben Amos, who is currently with the Cumbrians on a temporary basis.
