World Cup joy for pair

Belgium, for whom Marouane Fellaini came on as a half-time substitute. The visitors' goals were scored by Yoichiro Kakitani, Keisuke Honda and sub Shinji Okazaki, with Kevin Mirallas and Toby Alderweireld on target for the Belgians.

At Wembley, Wayne Rooney, Tom Cleverley and Chris Smalling all started for England in their disappointing 0-1 defeat to Germany. The contest was settled by Arsenal defender Per Mertesacker's towering first-half header. Of the United trio, only Smalling was asked to play the full 90 by manager Roy Hodgson - Cleverley was replaced by Jack Wilshere on 64 minutes and Rooney made way for Ross Barkley shortly afterwards.
