Andy Ritchie: It’s about United, not Suarez
“After a bad defeat it’s always about looking to the next game and they don’t come much bigger than Liverpool. In the past, nine times out of ten, we’ve always come back stronger after a bad result and we’ve seen a positive reaction.
“That’s what all managers look for and David Moyes will be hoping to see a reaction on Wednesday night. It’s a good game for us to have – we’re playing a top side that we have a big rivalry and I think that will bring out the best in the players as well.
“The fact that there has to be a winner on the night means you have to go for it. That sets the competition up a bit better in that sense these days. The Suarez factor won’t affect United. It’s about focusing on us and what we’re going to do. We know what Suarez is about – he’s a good player. But we have a lot of good players too and it’s about getting the best out of them.
“The fans have a part to play in every game, not just this one. They always need to get behind the team. We need to make Old Trafford a hostile place to come to - I don’t think it’s as intense as it could be for opposition teams.”
