Carrick answers fans

On Thursday, Michael Carrick took part in an extensive question and answer session on Twitter via the club’s official account, @ManUtd.

Taking time out from preparations for Saturday’s match with Crystal Palace at Old Trafford, the Reds hero tackled queries sent in by supporters from around the world. And predictably, the topics on discussion were as varied as the midfielder's range of passing.

Afterwards, Carrick awarded a signed photograph to the sender of his favourite question, @Artistic_HL, who wanted to know what makes United the “greatest” football club in the world?

In reply, Michael posted: “History, tradition, the fans, the brand of football we play... it all adds together to make #mufc great.”

Then, taking to his personal account, he tweeted: “Thanks for all your questions during the Q&A with @ManUtd there was some good ones and some bad I might add.”
