Wilson hits debut goal

United youngster James Wilson marked his England Under-19 debut with a goal during a 6-1 thrashing of Estonia in Tallin.

The Academy team captain, still only 17, took on much of the attacking burden by spearheading Noel Blake's side and he got the ball rolling with a 12th-minute opener at the Kadriorg Stadium.

Wilson, last season's top scorer for Paul McGuinness' charges, already has four goals in four games at club level in the Barclays Under-18 Premier League North.

Tigerish midfielder Ben Pearson was also in England's successful XI while Wilson made way for Chuba Akpom after 54 minutes of the one-sided victory. Blake's Three Lions are next in action in October in the first qualifying round of the European Championship.
