Robin van Persie says he is loving life under David Moyes and has praised his new manager’s personal approach to training at the Aon Training Complex.
The Manchester United striker, who is currently away with the Netherlands national squad, also believes Moyes has instilled a renewed hunger amongst his club colleagues following last season’s Barclays Premier League title triumph.
Speaking to Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf, van Persie said: “It’s great working with the new manager, David Moyes. He has his own style and methods and I like these.
“We have been working very hard from the day we started our tour to Asia and Australia. This will result in good matches - that's for sure. There is a very good atmosphere at the club.
“I'm happy with the style of Moyes,” Robin expanded. “He does his own training sessions; he's close with the players and, with his staff, prepares us very well for the next opponents. That keeps us in shape. And he has given us hunger for more [success].”
Van Persie is set to represent Holland against Estonia on Friday and Andorra on Tuesday, before returning to Manchester for next Saturday’s home league match with Crystal Palace.
