Manchester United forward Tom Lawrence is hoping to obtain more first-team action after making his debut in last May's victory over Hull City at Old Trafford.
The Welshman has begun the campaign with the Reserves and showed his quality at that level during the 3-0 win for the Under-21s over Norwich City on Friday, scoring the opening goal.
His senior bow against the Tigers, during Ryan Giggs' interim spell in charge, has whetted his appetite for more involvement.
"It was great experience," he told MUTV. "Hopefully, I can get some more. I just want to do as well as I can and push for a first-team spot if I can."
Lawrence played his part in the convincing win against the Canaries and could feature in Friday's difficult trip to Anfield to face Liverpool's Under-21s, again live on MUTV.
"It's a good all-round team," he said of Warren Joyce's side. "It was a comfortable win and we knocked the ball around very well. A few people were on the scoresheet so that's a bonus.
"Warren asked me to go up front and, whatever the manager asks, you do it. The goal is a bonus as well. We won against Manchester City and again [over Norwich] so it's been a good start."
