Albiston assesses trio

Former Manchester United left-back Arthur Albiston assesses the three contenders for our February Player of the Month award...

Patrice Evra
"Going forward, Patrice has been outstanding. He looks incredible in attack - he’s like an extra wide player. We’ve been caught out a bit defensively - he would admit it's happened to him a few times - but he made a big contribution to our two goals at Crystal Palace."

Juan Mata
"Mata’s only been at the club for what feels like five minutes, but he’s done ever so well coming into a side that hasn’t been on the crest of a wave. He’s looked the part and we all know what a quality player he is. We saw that over the years he was with Chelsea – he did some damage against us. He’s settled in very well, and I’m sure all the fans have been impressed with him."

Nemanja Vidic
"Although he’s been out injured for periods this season, he's been excellent when he has come back into the team. Over in Greece against Olympiacos he was probably the only outfield player to come out of it with pass marks. He showed the scoreline was hurting him, by still charging into people and fighting for every ball."

Arthur was a guest on MUTV's Thursday Focus, the weekly magazine show presented by Helen Evans and ex-United defender David May.
