Petrucci off to Charlton

Manchester United midfielder Davide Petrucci has agreed a loan move to Championship side Charlton Athletic until the end of the season.

The Italian has already had one loan stint this season, in Belgium with Royal Antwerp, but he returned to United to skipper Warren Joyce's Under-21 side recently and add his creative influence in the middle of the park.

After previously representing Peterborough United in the Championship last term, the 22-year-old will be keen to parade his talents at first-team level again and aid Charlton in their bid to avoid relegation from English football's second tier.

Jose Riga has replaced Chris Powell as the Addicks' manager with a weekend trip to Derby County next on the agenda. Petrucci is eligible to make his debut for his new club at the iPro Stadium.
