What does Manchester mean to you?

It's been the question on everybody's lips recently and integral to the Made of Manchester campaign. Now we want to hear your answer.

Get involved by visiting the Made of Manchester video booth in the Old Trafford megastore and recording your personal message. While there, you can also find out more about Nike's gingham collection which, like United's playing kit for the 2012/13 season, is inspired by the iconic pattern, produced en masse in Manchester's mills in the mid-18th century.

Manchester wordsmith Mike Garry's The Threads That Weave poem also features at the booth and is definitely worthy of a listen.

Watch our video above to see Rio Ferdinand, Tom Cleverley, Chris Smalling and a selection of Mancunians deliver their thoughts on a city one fan describes as "the centre of the universe".

After that, check out our Made of Manchester microsite where you can browse a series of videos, articles, interviews and galleries hailing Manchester, Mancunians and, of course, Manchester United.
