As part of our Made Of Manchester celebrations, you may have already read Cliff Butler's piece on the greatest ever Mancunian XI to turn out for United.

But there's no reason to think the list of local legends stops there. Indeed, there are several homegrown talents from the Manchester area currently working their way through the ranks at Carrington.

The Stockport-born twins, Michael and William Keane, have both made first-team appearances (the latter is currently sidelined with a serious knee injury), while Larnell Cole made his bow in last term's League Cup tie at Leeds. Ryan Tunnicliffe came off the bench in the same competition during the 2-1 win against Newcastle earlier this season.

Tyler Blackett appeared on the DHL 2012 tour and is tipped for a bright future and Tom Thorpe captained the Academy team to FA Youth Cup victory in 2011. There are more Manchester-raised prospects out on loan (Reece Brown and Luke Giverin) and further down the age groups, the likes of Kieran O'Hara, Joe Rothwell, Ben Pearson, Donald Love, Joshua Harrop, Ben Barber and Matthew Wilkinson are all hoping to make their mark at OT.
