Patrice Evra admits it took him time to settle into life in Manchester but now insists the city is one of the best in the world.
Evra signed for the Reds from Monaco in January 2006 so was transported from the sunny French Riviera to a grey English winter. Who wouldn't have felt some initial trepidation?
"It was really different," Patrice told ManUtd.com. "Before I joined Manchester I was living for four years in Monte Carlo, so it was a big change!"
In our exclusive Made Of Manchester video, Evra reveals he loves the Mancunian people and says he's "happy here".
"When it's sunny Manchester can be one of the best cities."
