Speculation surrounding movement in and out of Old Trafford this summer has been mounting since the transfer window closed in January, and the rumour mill has been no less active in April.

Rumours still abound that United will chase Tottenham's Bulgarian forward Dimitar Berbatov, while Falkirk’s lesser known but highly-rated young midfielder Scott Arfield is a new name to be linked with the Reds.

As for departures, there is recurring speculation linking Cristiano Ronaldo with a move to Spanish champions Real Madrid. Further conjecture links the Reds' young centre-back Gerard Pique with Madrid’s great rivals Barcelona.
